He established Strategic Health Partners in 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio, a private consultancy firm known for its expertise in healthcare services and pharmaceutical solutions. During his time at Strategica, he oversaw key aspects like contracting and drug procurement and engaged with large-scale clients and public healthcare companies as a managing partner. This venture into specialty infusion services set the tone for his innovative approach in the healthcare sector.

 

Capital Rx, Inc. benefited from his expertise as a consultant, where he contributed significantly to a significant project that expanded into specialty pharmaceutical and mail-order pharmacy areas. His academic journey, starting with a Bachelor of Science in Business from David N. Myers University in 1974, laid the groundwork for his illustrious career. While at Myers College, he was actively involved in the American Society of Marketing and Management while completing his degree in pharmacy and business management.

 

Opalich has been recognized for his professional prowess through various appointments. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Specialty Pharmacy News and Atlantic Information Services (AIS Health). His expertise in pharmacy benefit management and specialty pharmacy mergers and acquisitions is also sought after in the healthcare investment banking sector, and he serves on the national advisory boards of several public healthcare companies.
